SKDRDP has evolved a well conceived
housing programme to provide shelter to the
deprived. Under this programme the stakeholders
are trained in designing cost effective
housing, given loans for constructing houses.
If required a small subsidy for
purchasing materials is also provided.
Easy access to housing finance has
resulted in construction of quality houses in the
villages.
Support is also given for repair of the
existing houses, additions, alterations,
electrifications, construction of toilets, installation of solar lighting
systems etc.,
To facilitate a pucca
housing programme SKDRDP provides loans upto Rs. 1.00 lakh
with tenures upto 520 weeks.
