I am very happy to learn that SKDRDP is coming out with a monthly E-bulletin. Being a multifaceted institution SKDRDP has adopted a holistic approach to development. The development programs of this organization comprise of community organisation, knowledge empowerment, and handholding coupled with providing accessibility to different services. From promoting education for the underprivileged children to imparting conscientization programs in various areas of life for the older generations, SKDRDP acts as a powerful agent of social transformation. While making the socially marginalized people an enlightened and thereby empowered lot we aim to bring the poor and underprivileged to the main stream of the society. This work is carried out by making the poor have access to loans to build up something productive in their lives like a small business, farming, or building houses. Along with social and financial assistance the organization provides a number of services also to the less fortunate brothers and sisters of our society.

It is of vital significance that SKDRDP is not just a social service organization, but there is an overriding philosophy behind all its activities for social development. That philosophy is “progress with compassion and development with Dharma”. This value-based approach to development is alien to the prevalent concept of development in the contemporary world. In contrast to that, SKDRDP upholds compassion as the motive force in working for progress and Dharma as the basic approach to development.

SKDRDP is working with the hope that it is possible to raise every poor person to the level of a dignified human existence and to integrate every marginalized person into the main stream of the society. The monthly e-bulletin is definitely a milestone in striving towards the organization’s goal. I do hope that the bulletin will become popular and provide new leads to other development institutions and wish that it grow step by step to its unlimited future horizons.
